"Bark Bug"

  
This is by far the most bizarre bug I have ever found.  Actually, my wife found it while sitting in an Adirondack chair in the front yard.  She at first thought it was a speck of bark until she saw it moving.  Then despite her natural instincts, she captured it for me, and I photographed it and then released it right back where she found it.  This little fellow is a Brown Lacewing larvae (aka "Trash Bug" because it piles trash on its back), and it measured only 7mm long and only 4mm wide.
