"Bed of Nails"

  
Photo ©2003 Frank H Phillips, All Rights Reserved This "bed of nails" that the Mayfly is resting on is really the blossom of a cone flower.  The other thing that I particularly like about this photo is how the top hemisphere of the Mayfly's eyes match the color of the "bed of nails".
