"We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade, the presence of
God.
The world is crowded with Him. He walks everywhere
incognito."
- C.S. Lewis
Welcome
to "Beautiful Bugs", a place where you can see some amazing
extreme close-up insect photos and learn how to do it even with
equipment you might already own. My name is Frank
Phillips, and I
have built this site to educate both beginner and advanced photographers
about macro insect photography, and to showcase what can be achieved with
the right equipment, training, practice, and patience. To get an
idea of just how small some of these creatures are, check out my "perspective"
page and you'll be amazed. Then, when you want to learn more, please
click the links below to begin exploring this tiny, yet often
overlooked, world that makes for an exciting and rewarding genre of
photography, including my in-depth "how
to" to learn
how to do this yourself.
