Ants are actually extremely hard to photograph because they're constantly moving. I was lucky in this case because this ant had stopped to get
a drink from rainwater that remained on a leaf (I did not "bait" this shot nor any other shot). So as he was drinking I fired away, but he stayed still for only two or three seconds before moving on. I think those three tiny dots on his head are photosensitive eyes that tell him whether it's day or night. |
